A 2.18-meter long lotus root weighing 13 kilograms was elected "King of Lotus Root" after a digging competition on Monday. Ten villagers took part in the game and the biggest lotus root was auctioned for 888 yuan ($140). Pengdian town has an annual output of 27,000 tons of lotus root. Source: DailyChina
